Thousands of people have already built a free, clean wind power source into their homes cheaply. Whats your hold up?

Here is some info to help you join the green movement without paying out too much of your own green.

Why not just go out and buy a wind generator?

Well for starters, if you are thinking of creating your own power then you are also thinking of saving money. The last thing you will do if you purchase one is save money – as prices for these start at about $1000 dollars for a decent generator.

But – you can build your own if you have the right plans, for a fraction of the cost of buying one. In fact, you can make your own source of residential wind power for around $100-$200, and a week or two of your spare time.

So… what will you need to make your own wind generator?

Homemade wind turbine blades

First you will need a good set of project plants/blueprints to work from. This is the most important part of the project, because if you have bad plans your generator may be flimsy or may be under-powered.

On the other hand, if you have well-engineered plans, your generator will last a long time and generate a lot of power.

You’ll also need an area to work in such as a garage, common household tools (or a quick trip to the local hardware store), and about four full days to complete the job.

What are the parts of a wind generator system?

Your wind generator system will consist of five parts: the motor/alternator, blades, the tail, the tower it all sits on, and batteries/charge controllers that deliver electricity to your home.

You will have to order the motor for the wind generator. Your plans will tell you where to get the motor, what size you need and all the technical stuff you need to know to be sure you get what you need. It is a very important part as it is what converts the wind power into electric to power your home.

The blades of the wind generator are critical because they are what actually convert the wind into rotational energy which can be used by the alternator to make electricity. Blueprints that show you how to create efficient blades quickly are very important and can make or break your project.

The tail can be made in many different ways and is fairly simple. Like the fletching of an arrow, it makes the turbine blades point align with the wind at all times, which is very important, as I’m sure you can imagine.

The wind generator tower: You can buy or build your own tower. The best thing to do is find an old TV tower and recycle it for your wind generator tower. Many people will even pay you to take them down and get them out of their way.

Batteries and charge controllers: You will need storage batteries to store all that power you will be making and a way to control the charging process. This is a very important part of your residential wind power system. You will need to run wires from the wind generator to the battery bank to put the power in the batteries, then you can run wires from the batteries to a power inverter to run AC current to power your home.

Now that you know some of the basics, you can see that it’s not that complicated or expensive to have your own residential wind power system to run your household. All you need now are the plans to get started.

With the right manual, you can get well-engineered plans for easy to build wind turbines that can create enough energy to cover your power bill.

Recommended project blueprints for residential wind power generation:

If you want blueprints that will help you build powerful wind generators for $100-$200, Earth4Energy is highly recommended and you can download it to your computer in a few minutes. You should click here to see what Earth4Energy is all about.

P.S. In Earth4Energy you’ll also learn how to make solar panels for $100-$200 that can generate power for you on days when the wind stops but the sun is out! Download the full Earth4Energy manual at this link.

P.P.S. This is a commercial guide to build wind and solar power and it costs a bit of money. If you buy through this link above, I’m getting some commission, too, just to let you know. This is no way biases my opinion on the product, however! And if you don’t like it after you buy, just email the Earth4Energy website or go directly to Clickbank.com (order processor) and ask for your money back. You’ll get it back, and they won’t ask for a reason (it’s how Clickbank products work) within 60 days… Just shows how much they believe in their guide. Hope you like it and good luck!

Are you tired of pay huge energy bills every month? I’m sure you are, like the rest of us. If you haven’t already considered it, let me suggest a solution to you – implement renewable energy into your home. Alternative sources of energy can be installed into your home such as wind power and you can cut your power bill down to nothing fairly easily, at low initial cost.

Wind power is a terrific form of alternative energy whether you buy a wind turbine or build a wind generator by yourself. Keep reading for three of the best reasons to begin using wind power to help meet the energy needs of your household.

There are of course many benefits to using wind power; one of the best things about using a home wind generator is that wind power is a renewable resource. Wind power is going nowhere and all of us could use it – wind is not a scarce resource.

Fossil fuels are the primary energy source of the planet right now because they are the cheapest fuels and we have the widest infrastructure to distribute them around the world. They will eventually run out and they also pollute, however, so we need to start to look for and develop other energy sources such as wind power which will provide energy indefinitely.

Another great reasons to have a home wind generator of your own is that it is quite easy for you to install. If you purchase one already built, you can easily set it up. They are not that hard to build on your own either.

If you are thinking of doing it yourself, it is easier than you think. Simply buy some well-engineered plans for your wind generator and you’ll be on your way. It will include instructions on how to build the blades and how to install the motor correctly to start pumping out power.

The savings from wind power is the number one reason to have a wind generator in your backyard. You will save a lot of money by owning one, and they don’t cost much to build. You might spend 100-200$ building one on your own. It may pay for itself in only a few months because they are so cheap to build.

Many people are starting to get wind power for their own backyards, and it is no surprise why. It is easy to implement and it helps to save a lot of money, along with the environment!

It seems that green is the new black; eco-friendly living is the new mantra for the entire world. With ever increasing pollution and energy crisis, ‘green living’ appears to be our only solution to overcome the present dilemma. Making use of hybrid cars, recyclable bags, and solar panels for homes can effectively help the environment while saving you some cash on the side as well.

Solar panels in your house cannot only be your contribution towards helping Mother Nature, it can also be an effective way to reduce the burden of hefty electric bills every month.

Plugging into the sun to generate electricity, is it possible?

The answer is yes, it is very much possible to generate electricity with the help of solar power through the solar panels. These solar panels work in a very simple way, their main job is to convert the light from the sun to usable energy.

How? The main ingredient here is Silicon. Silicon atoms consist of electrons, and silicon atoms have a tendency to bond with other similar atoms in order to share electrons, which are an important part of the solar panels.

However, keep in mind that silicon still need to be mixed with an additional ingredient to successfully generate electricity. This is where the sun plays its all-important role. As we all know, sunlight consists of photons; these photons when combined with silicon help create electricity.

Solar panels for homes:

There are a number of solar panel kits in the market that are extremely easy to use. These kits come with inverters as well; the inverters are tools that would transform the power produced by solar panels into forms that are suitable for home use.

You can pay a technician around $3000 to have solar panels installed in your house. But why should you waste your hard-earned money when you can install it yourself?

Yes, you read that right! Despite what people might say, it is very simple to set up and install solar panels in your home space. Many homeowners have cast aside non-renewable resources for providing energy in their homes; they have instead turned to solar energy.

Here is why you should consider doing the same; the average cost of such a system would be around $250 and it will reduce your monthly electricity bills by at least 80%.

In today’s world, homes are not the only ones that can benefit from this amazing alternative. Lighthouses, traffic signs, street lights etc around the world are making use of solar energy. This is because they conserve energy and require very little maintenance.

Now that you have a better idea about how solar panels work, you can use this information to harness the sun’s energy in order to power your house.

Many people are making significant contributions to help planet earth, what is holding you back? If we do not take a positive step now, there might not be a planet left to save tomorrow. And so, give green living a shot and install solar panels for homes. Let us all play our part towards energy conservation for a greener and cleaner planet.

If you get the right guide, you can save $3000 or so by streamlining these steps and getting all the necessary materials for a fraction of the cost – let somebody who has already done it hundreds of times for others show you how to do it! The best solar power installation guidescan be found here and they can save you $1000′s of dollars easily.

As the technology for solar cells gets better with time, this form of clean, renewable energy will find more applications that take up less space and produce more electricity, to meet the energy needs of our homes, schools, and businesses. Solar panel installation is a step forward to support the same.

With the major problem of global warming on the rise, it’s becoming a necessity to use eco friendly items in our everyday life to keep our environment green and contribute in making our planet a better place to live. In today’s eco conscious world, many famous personalities like Al Gore, Bono and others promote energy conservation. You too can be a part of this elite league by doing your own little bit for the same.

The term solar panel is best used for the solar thermal collector of your homes. However, the same term may also refer to a photovoltaic unit, which is an assembly of solar cells to produce electricity. In all cases, these panels are typically flat and are available in various sizes depending on your requirements.

These solar panels can be installed on different kinds of roofs. The panels can be either flush mounted or tilted up. It is always advisable to install your solar panel while your home is being roofed to avoid future hassles. It is advisable that you do your research to ascertain the best possible location for solar panel installation so that you use them hassle free for decades to come

The installation procedure below demonstrates how to mount solar photovoltaic panels on a sloped roof. This installation also shows how to incorporate solar mounts into a new roof:

Step 1: Choose the right solar panel for yourself

Many companies use ‘Fast Jack’ solar panels in order to structurally attach solar panels to the roof. These panels are used while the roof is being constructed for the first time. Whereas, ‘Tiletrac’ mounts are used for existing roofs.

Step 2: Attaching solar panels

Align the panels on the rafter. Pre-drill the rafter before attaching the panels to avoid breaking it. You can also find rafters with stud finders on the market. Outline the solar panel on the rafter with a chalk before fitting the panels on the rafter.

Step 3: Securing the mounts

Secure the mounts on the roof by using stainless steel lag bots. Next, metal railings are placed on the mounts to hold the panels.

Step 4: Panel placements

Once that is done, it’s time to place the solar panels in groups of 4-5 panels on the railings.

Step 5: Coating the roof

After the solar panels are placed on the railings, a layer of reflective roof coating is applied on the roof.

Step 6: plugging it in

The last step is to connect the entire setup to the inverter.

With this, we come to the end our solar panel installation. Wasn’t too complicated, was it? You can consider installing solar panels in your home and make the best of solar energy and save significant amount of money by cutting down your electricity bills.

Fossil fuels are one day going to dry up, so we must start looking now for alternative and renewable sources of energy so that we can maintain our lifestyles. Fossil fuels may last for years to come, but we must be prepared when the oil stops pumping.

Alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydroelectric are thought to be the forerunners in clean energy. Developing their technology so that the price of energy is lower than fossil fuels will be important for weaning us off of fossil fuels.

Other types of renewable energy are also being developed, and many of them seem very promising. One of these energies is wave energy, which is garnering much excitement for powering cities in coastal regions.

Wave energy is the densest form of energy in nature, and it doesn’t go away like the sun or wind might. Wave power generators have the capability to operate all the time.

To the right is a picture of a Pelamis wave power converter, the world’s first commericial scale machine to generate electricity from waves.

Australia, which is famous for its waves and surfing, has many of these wind generators in place powering homes in many of its coastal cities.

A wave power plant exists off the coast of a city just south of Sydney, about 100 yards off the coast. It produces enough energy to power 500 homes and desalinates enough water to supply those homes with fresh drinking water, as well. It weighs about 500 tons.

It is built to survive almost any major storm, though it is fairly small in size. It produces about 500kW of power and it cost $4.7 million to create.

A conceptual wave energy generation park and generator schematic

Although it is still fairly expensive, as technology develops it will become much cheaper. In fact, many renewable energy experts believe that is has the best chance of any renewable energies to become cheaper than fossil fuels.

As the term suggests, bio-fuels are fuels that are formed when biological matter decomposes. The bio-fuels are mostly derived from plants. Bio-fuels exist in all the three states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas.

Bio-fuels are different from fossil fuels in the following ways: 1. Fossil fuels take millions of years to make whereas bio-fuels can be made extremely fast, in a matter of days. 2. Fossil fuels generate huge amounts of pollution. Bio-fuels are comparatively safer. 3. Bio-fuels are renewable sources of energy unlike fossil fuels.

Bio-fuels have been categorized into four types: first generation, second generation, third generation, and fourth generation.

The first generation bio-fuels are derived from vegetable fats, starch, and sugar, which are in turn derived from food-crops. The first generation fuels are also derived from animal fats. Biogas, bio-diesel, and vegetable oil are some examples of this type of bio-fuels.

The 2nd generation of biofuels are derived from waste biomass. This would include oil, alcohols and diesels made from things such as felled trees.

The third generation comprises of bio-fuels derived from algae. Algae are farmed on large scales for creating these bio-fuels. The algae fuels are extremely environment-friendly as they can easily decompose into the soil without harming it.

The 4th generation of biofuels are those made from excretions of microorganisms. The microorganisms are farmed in large scale reactors and excrete chemicals that can be used as fuel.

Advantages of biofuels include: 1. They reduce the burden on fossil fuels which will one day run out. 2. They are eco-friendly, unlike many bio fuels, and will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions. 3. They can be very cost effective when used correctly.

Biofuels also have some disadvantages. These include: 1. The problem with biofuel crops taking up farm land in places where food is at a premium. Many people believe that food should always take priority over energy. 2. Many acres of land will be farmed as our dependence on these fuels begins to grow.

Electricity is the backbone of our economy and our everyday lives. Production of energy is therefore very important to maintaining our style of life. Electricity is currently made mainly by the burning of fossil fuels (coal), nuclear fission, and with energy derived from water and wind.

With most types of electricity generation, energy is used to turn magnets in turbines which induce electric current in wiring. Here are several ways that we make electricity:

Burning of fossil fuels. Large amounts of moving vapor is produced when water is boiled. By burning fossil fuels, then heating water in large furnaces this can be done. Fossil fuels include coal, petrol and natural gas. These fuels release large amounts of pollutants into the air including greenhouse gases. They are also non-renewable, so we should look to alternative, clean sources of energy for future energy production.

By moving water: Dams have long been used to funnel water down tubes with turbines, which can be used to create electricity. Dams are also useful because they can control the movement of water and restrict bodies of water to where we want them. On the other hand, this may cause local ecosystem damage and environmental hazards.

Over 90 % of the world’s renewable energy is produced by hydroelectric dams.

Wind power. Wind turbines can use propeller-like blades to directly turn a motor which will generate electricity. These wind generators may have to be high up in the air to gather enough wind in some places, but they are very environmentally sound.

Nuclear fission. There is a lot of energy in matter, and some unstable elements, like uranium or plutonium isotopes, can be used to generate a nuclear reaction which is then used to heat water, create vapor and turn turbines.

By solar power: Solar energy uses solar panels to gather photons of light, which contain energy. They hit electrons in the panel and give them energy to move through wiring and create an electrical circuit.

With the right manual, you can get engineer’s plans for easy-to-build wind turbines that can create enough energy to cut up to 80% of your electricity bill. See the best wind power and solar generator plans and blueprints here and save yourself 100s each month. Also, help to preserve our planet!

With ever-increasing fuel and power costs, it is time that we all became more conscious about saving power. Apart from conserving energy at home and work, we can each start to use cost-effective means to actually create our own power. Solar power and wind power solutions are becoming a reality and can be a very cheap and effective means to implement at home. Learning how to build a wind generator or solar power generator is actually pretty easy.

These solutions can help you combat power outages, reduce your electricity bills, and also help the environment.

Wind power solutions work best when the following conditions are met:

- You have a house or farmhouse spread over a big area. Typically, wind power solutions are employed in areas that spread over more than a half acre.

- The average wind speed in your area is around 11 miles per hour. If you stay in a place that has little wind flow, your system will not work. Consult an expert before installing the wind power solution at home.

Your house needs an uninterruped power supply. For fridges and computers that always need to be on, having wind power as a backup is a huge plus.

A wind power turbine generally consists of a tower, a body with motor, and blades that spin in the wind. The height of the tower depends on the height of surrounding objects and on the distance from them. If you are in a low-wind area you may need a larger tower, and a shorter one if you live in a high wind area.

The spinning energy of the blades is converted into useful electricity by a motor inside the wind turbine. This electricity can be used to power your household appliances. If you use batteries, you can get off the grid completely or just store energy for later in case of a power blackout. If you stay on the grid, your power company will pay you for energy generated that you didn’t use!

And you can save thousands if you learn how to build a wind generator yourself. Commercial wind power generators sell for up to ten times more than what you can do it yourself for.

With the right manual, you can get engineer’s plans for easy-to-build wind turbines that can create enough energy to cut up to 80% of your electricity bill. See the best wind power generator plans and blueprints here and save yourself 100s each month.
Also, help to preserve our planet!
